This weekend brought back all of the best Paul vs. Ricky memories. These two go back years with countless tournament battles where they pull away from the field and have a 1 vs. 1 finish. The Open at Belton was no different. The two of them were on a different level then the competition. They finished -43 and -41 respectfully. Calvin Heimburg came in 3rd with a score of -30. The matchup was neck and neck from start to finish and you can watch next day coverage of all the rounds on GK Productions YouTube channel. For a DGPT Silver Series event, the Open did not disappoint. The Silver Series events count as 25% of the points a regular elite level DGPT tournament would give players, meaning Ricky Wysocki and Catrina Allen each earned 25 points towards the final standings.

Mainstream Disc Golf Predictions Recap

• Ricky Wysocki, Paul McBeth and Kevin Jones will finish in the top 6 and are all contenders to win.

Aside from Kevin Jones who finished in 14th place, only 2 strokes back from a tie for 6th place we nailed this prediction. Ricky and Paul both needed a big win this weekend after falling a little behind at Waco and not capitalizing in Vegas. They are both too good, and too consistent to not contend at almost every tournament they compete in. Being able to watch another Paul vs. Ricky battle was well worth watching all of the next day coverage available on GK pro.

• Look out for Emerson Keith and Paul Ulibarri as sleepers.

This prediction turned out to be pretty accurate as well for Uli. He came out swinging, playing in the featured card in the opening round with McBeth, Locastro and Aderhold. He ended up finishing tied for 6th and had an amazing albatross filmed during the opening round on hole 15.

• Catrina Allen, Hailey King, and Kona Panis will finish top 5.

2/3. We will take it. Once again in the FPO we saw a major drop off after the leaders. Catrina Allen and Heather Young finished -6 and -5 respectfully and 3rd place finishin with a +2. These DGPT events are getting more fun to watch with more names to look out for. Looking forward to seeing if Catrina and Kona can stay a top the leaderboards heading into April.
