In the past Disc Golf as a professional sport struggled to gain media attention, luckily with the emergence of YouTube and Podcast apps some companies and players have taken the media into their own hands and have opened the sport up to the world. There are many different Disc Golf podcasts out on the market but there are a few we consider the best of the best. For weekends like these with out any major tournaments they will help you stay on top of current events and listen to some exclusive player interviews.
Grip Locked - Foundation Disc Golf
Grip Locked in hosted by Trevor Straub and Hunter Thomas. These guys part-own Foundation Disc Golf which is a great disc retail website where you can find some exclusive stamps. The podcast is delivered once a week and they do not hesitate to stir the pot with controversial opinions about the future of the sport. Disc Golf needs voices like these who aren't afraid to speak like a fan while being in the industry themselves. All around great podcast to stay up to date on tournaments and player sponsorships.
Running it with Nate Sexton
This podcast is hosted by non other than Nate Sexton and Jarret Orr. Nate has been around the block as a top-tier competitor in the sport, commentating on the stellar Jomez Production coverages and recently he has been working with the Disc Golf Network for live coverage of DGPT events. He is a great voice for the sport and has spot-on perspectives. Plus they always have on guests including top names like Brodie Smith, Simon Lizotte and Paige Pierce.
The Nick and Matt Show - Foundation Disc Golf
Foundation is once again on this list with the Nick and Matt Show. Hosted by Nick Carl and Matt Grayum, these guys put together an awesome show with incredible interviews. They tend to have on the winners of the most recent tournaments to discuss their wins and more. Highly recommend listening to these guys throughout the week.
