Discraft has made a few splashes in the past 2 seasons, capped off with the signing of a $10M extension with Paul McBeth.

Paul Mcbeth’s new 10 million dollar contract may surprise those less in-tune with the disc golf universe, but Discraft has locked up the unquestionably best player in recent history for the next ten years. With new players coming out in droves due to the pandemic and the mainstream discovery of just how fun disc golf is, disc golf is becoming increasingly lucrative for the companies that support the game.

Disc sales are at an all time high and people are more likely to buy the discs they recognize being thrown by the players they see and root for. That is where Discraft is starting to really separate from their competition. By sponsoring the most marketable players on tour, Discraft has secured themselves a secure spot as one of the top “name” brands of discs for the foreseeable future. Obviously, Discraft was already in a prime position to continue doing well in the growing market, but the signing of Paul in such an impressive manner has put them in a new league.

You also can’t forget about Brodie Smith, who is close with Paul and signed a two year extension with Discraft late 2020. Brodie is a huge reason for the spike in disc golf popularity and he is absolutely one of the most influential players on tour when it comes to pure disc sales. Some of the more rare Brodie discs (all manufactured by Discraft) are even going for hundreds of dollars in resale markets.

Other notable players Discraft has under contract include, 5x world champion Paige Pierce, sought-after 2020 free agent Ezra Aderhold, rising star Hailey King, commentator and consistent podium threat Paul Ulibarri, and countless other elite up-and-comers like Adam Hammes.

By seeking out the best players in the game and paying them what they deserve, Discraft has bought themselves into being a top supplier for one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Soon that ten million they will be paying Paul over the next ten years might seem like a steal for Discraft.
