The Texas State Disc Golf Championship presented by Latitude 64 is a National Tour event that is going down this weekend from 3/26 - 3/28

Once again, us disc golf fans will be spending our weekends anxiously watching Udisc live to see the outcome of the Texas State Disc Golf Championship. Texas disc golf has been fantastic over the last two weekends with Waco and the Open at Belton giving us the disc golf content we have been craving.
Over the last couple of years, the Texas Championship has been a place to see one or two top pros blow away the field with local studs rounding out our lead cards. This year, however, all the top names we are used to are once again making a relatively small tournament feel like a national tournament. Our prediction of a classic Ricky-Paul battle last week turned out to be spot on, so what do we think will happen this weekend?
Mainstream Disc Golf Predictions
It’s a good weekend to be named “Paul”
Both McBeth and Ulibarri have been in the hunt in every Texas tournament this year, and both are well overdue for a big win. Ulibarri may be playing some of the best disc golf of his career, and that is saying something considering just how good he has consistently been. McBeth is McBeth and putting him in this column is almost cheating, but he has had a couple frustrating weekends in a row and he will be hungry for this one.
Sleeper pick: Mason Ford
Mason is definitely under the radar for the casual fan, but he has absolutely been killing it this year. He has played this event before and knows what it takes to find himself on the lead card (or at least in the top 10). Don’t be surprised if you see his name popping up on some hot round features or in the top ten when this thing is done.
Paige Pierce and Catrina Allen make a statement
We have been seeing great rounds out of Catrina lately, and she will keep rolling this weekend at a course that will reward her putting advantage. Paige has not been on as many lead cards as we would expect over the last couple of weeks; like McBeth, she is not just the best one out there, but she will want this one a little extra this week.
Sleeper pick: Valerie Mandujano
Valerie has been sneaky good recently, and has found herself on a couple lead cards. This feels like the weekend she puts it all together and makes a push to stay on the lead card. Fun fact: Valerie is actually dating our other sleeper pick Mason Ford, so if all goes as our predictions, it’ll be a great weekend for the disc golf power couple.
